Grapeseed Oil

"Grapeseed oil is a lightweight, non-fragrant oil obtained from the seeds of grapes. Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, it helps support the skin’s barrier while providing nourishment and hydration. It also contains antioxidants that contribute to skin defense and have age-supporting properties.

Because of its emollient qualities, grapeseed oil works well for dry skin by delivering moisture and softness. Its lower level of saturation gives it a thinner consistency and a less greasy finish than heavier oils like coconut oil, and it is generally less likely to clog pores.

This oil is also considered an eco-friendly option, as it can be sourced as a byproduct of winemaking—making use of seeds that would otherwise be discarded. According to the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel, grapeseed oil is safe for use in cosmetic formulations at any concentration."

Argan Oil

"Argan oil is a non-fragrant plant oil extracted from the kernels of argan trees. It contains a variety of beneficial fatty acids and lipids for the skin, including oleic, palmitic, and particularly linoleic acid. It is also rich in vitamin E (tocopherol) and other antioxidant compounds commonly found in plant oils.

While often celebrated, argan oil is not a miracle ingredient—it functions primarily as a nourishing, emollient oil. It is most suitable for dry to very dry skin or hair but is comparable to many other non-fragrant plant oils used in cosmetic formulations. Those with oily skin should be cautious when using it at full strength, as it may leave the skin feeling greasy."
