Don't be naive about the benefits of a powdered face mask. There are no emulsifying agents, reducing spoilage so key ingredients are more concentrated and therefore more potent at doing their job - making your skin look its best.

Our Naive Nutgrass Face Mask is a combination of fragrant herbs sourced locally and from India which are finely ground and packaged in powder form. We've combined ingredients that are known to cleanse the skin, and provide you with an even, smooth, and radiant complexion when it is used consistently.

Nutgrass

"Korai kizhangu or Nutgrass is derived from a type of grass called Korai. Nutgrass is a widely recognized herb that is found in a variety of effective skincare goods.
In Ayurveda it is used in formulations to diminish dark spots and brighten the skin. The powdered extracts of nutgrass root are incredibly potent and loaded with antioxidants, which help in inhibiting premature aging of the skin while diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.
It helps in the regulation of excessive pigmentation, or melanin, in the skin, resulting in a brighter complexion. Nutgrass is cooling in nature, and its anti-inflammatory properties help relieve redness, breakouts, and inflamed skin. It contains fatty acids, vitamins, and flavonoids, which are particularly good to the skin."

Red Sandalwood

"The significance of Red Sandalwood in Ayurveda is profound and grounded in ancient wisdom. Ayurveda regards Red Sandalwood, also known as Raktachandan or Lal Chandan, as a highly useful herb with many benefits. It is highly regarded in Ayurveda for its cooling, calming, and astringent properties, making it highly beneficial for balancing the Pitta dosha, which is connected with heat and inflammation. It is commonly used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, blemishes, and infections."

Bael/Vilvam

Bael has antibacterial qualities that help clear acne and speed up wound healing. It can also soothe inflamed skin and slow the first signs of wrinkles. In Ayurveda, it is praised for its shothahara (anti-inflammatory) effects as well as its cooling impact on the skin.

Tanner's Cassia/Avarampoo

Cassia auriculata blooms are dried in the shade and ground into powder. Avarampoo is particularly rich in antioxidants and has natural astringent properties, which help cleanse pores, reduce acne, and boost skin elasticity. It is often used in face packs and as a natural treatment for a variety of skin conditions.

Mung Beans

"Mung beans can be applied to the face or body and is excellent for the Kapha season - late winter and early spring — for a revitalizing boost when feeling sluggish, in that gentle, Ayurvedic way. Whether used on your face or body, mung beans can enhance your complexion, reduce blemishes, and add a glow to your skin while conditioning, soothing, and deodorizing. It also helps lift dead skin cells, grime, and excess sebum from your skin."
